Where is your faith?
If you stop and think about all the hardships, challenges, poverty, sicknesses and diseases, injustices, etc. you will end up hating life. And if you hate life the tendency is to resort to death, you just want to die. I lived like that before. I hated my life because of the poverty I grew up in. My environment and circumstances were horrible.
However, I learnt that life requires intelligent faith. If you stop using your faith you will use your fears and doubts. Yes, either you are living your faith or living your fears.
Now the just shall live by faith;
but if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him.”
But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. Hebrews 10:38-39 NKJV.
The just shall live by faith suggests that we will not function or be productive without faith. In order to live you must believe in what you want to have and want to become even when you cannot see that. You will grow, mature, reach out, and get education, career, family etc if you believe. Life requires faith. Faith refuses to focus on the bad side of life. Faith is the voice of God within you, if you obey your faith you obey God. Abraham did that; he obeyed God and is called our father in faith. Your life can be more liveable and extraordinary if you stop focusing on the problems and focus on the solutions. Yes, there’s always right and wrong in life. Always choose right. You always find alternatives in life; you have choices and decisions to make. Choose to believe and tell yourself that you will live life to the fullest before you die. Yes, you must live first before you die. No drawing back but fight on and live on. While you are complaining and sobbing others have envisioned the life they want to live. They are planning and preparing to succeed. That’s what I want you to do.
Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” Mark 4:39-40 NKJV
