Does God exist? How many times have you heard this question?
Many people have been questioning God’s existence due to the fact that they are seeing many problems in the world. They have been asking: if God exits, why there is no response to so much suffering and pain? Nonetheless, they do not consider the fact that God only responds to the manifestation of Faith. Let us see what the bible says in the Gospel of Mark.
“Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Was Bartimaeus the only blind man in Jericho? Of course not! In the same way that today there are billions of people suffering out there. They think that God does not exist or that He does not care.
However, only the blind man who manifested his faith received healing in Jericho that day. Dear reader, can you imagine the pain of a parent watching their child suffer without being able to help?
It is the pain that God feels every single day not being allowed to help those who suffer because of their unbelief.
Incredibly, there are people who dispute that, by saying that God was supposed to interfere in people’s lives and assist them in their misfortunes. The fact is that only by faith one can call God’s attention.
No amount of suffering will be able to draw His Divine attention without the manifestation of faith upon His promises. The Almighty has challenged anyone who finds himself in trouble to call upon Him for help. Anytime, anywhere, anyone can do like the blind Bartimaeus did. He cried out for help and the Lord delivered him from all his troubles.
“Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”
Shall we call upon Him? Undoubtedly, He will answer us the same way Jesus responded to the blind man of Jericho. When he asked: “What do you want me to do for you?”
